With so much to do in December, decorating your home for the holidays can be difficult to prioritize. Even if you manage to squeeze in extra time, Christmas shopping can make budgeting for holiday décor that much more difficult. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to decorate your home with holiday spirit even when time and money are limited.
Decorate an Entry Table:
Ice skates with red pompoms made an easy entry table arrangement, while a jar filled with twigs adds an unexpected accent. A mix of faux and real evergreens brings holiday spirit throughout the area
Add a woodsy appeal to your dining-room table with these candles etched to resemble a tree’s grain. In natural and green. To buy: Six-inch short pillar, $35; eight-inch tall pillar, $12
Skirting the Tree:
If each member of your family has, three of four scarves, put some of them to work as a tree skirt. Arrange them in a pinwheel fashion around the base of the tree and secure with safety pins.
Maximize Your Railings:
Your railings can add to your holiday decor, too. Take a run-of-the-mill garland to new heights with a string of beautiful felted flowers, then hang the garland from your banister.
Feast for the Eyes:
For an inexpensive wintry centerpiece, fill glass vases and large compotes of different heights with pinecones. Spray-paint them gold and silver for extra sparkle, or leave them as nature intended.
